Award-winning garden maintenance! August 2006: our central London garden maintenance team scoops a bronze medal for their care of Montpelier Square Garden in the London Squares Garden Competition.

It hardly needs stating: no garden stands still. A well-tended garden evolves slowly but inevitably as the faster growing “pioneer” species are outstripped by their slower-growing but longer lived neighbours. This natural progression can be checked back by careful, sensitive pruning and clipping. Conversely, an untended garden will rapidly deteriorate into an unkempt jungle of shrubs that have outgrown their positions, as well as uninvited invaders.

At Spike Jackson Garden Design, we offer an expert aftercare service for the regular maintenance of gardens which we have designed and built, to ensure that they fulfil their design potential and look fantastic all year round. Our staff are horticulturally trained and are motivated by the skilled work which they undertake. For this reason, we encourage clients to organise the routine weekly tasks in their garden (such as mowing, leaf collection etc) so that we can concentrate on the more skilled aspects of the maintenance work on a monthly basis.

At present, this service is only available to our central London clientele, but we hope to be able to offer garden maintenance to our Cambridge clients in the near future.
